Our Santa photography sessions are a world-class Santa experience, dedicated and designed to bring joy to children while capturing the wonder of child in authentic and iconic Santa Clause moments.
A Masterpiece Christmas fine art Santa session is, simply put, an incredible performance where your child will interact in a play (they will never know they are in a play) that tells the story of your children's dream on the night before Christmas.
In the play and in their dream, they will visit Santa's workshop at 5 min till midnight and learn the secrets of the North Pole and the true meaning of Christmas. Your kids will have the time of their life.
October, November, and December dates
In 2023 in the Triad we offer bookings in October, November and December. Our December availability always fill first, however, November is always close behind. We love the October dates as this gives us time to get storybooks and wall art to clients prior to Thanksgiving.
BOOK EARLY
Each year our Santa photo session have very limited availability and many dates sell out completely. If your child is either on the cusp or that perfect age and size, do not delay as your may never have this opportunity for such a Santa Clause event.
Events such as those produced by Masterpiece Christmas are private commissions and families come from near and far in NC and beyond. Each season, locals from Greensboro, Winston Salem, Concord, Burlington, High Point, Kernersville and Thomasville.

Artwork takes time
If you have seen our work on our website, social media or in person, you should know that they do not come out of our camera looking like what you see. There is artwork to be done and this artwork was invented by Master Photographer Larry Hersberger.
You may search for that perfect magic Santa session in the week prior to Christmas (we actually have those December dates) just know that turning pictures into our end artwork does take time, knowledge and talent.
Sessions booked in December generally cannot expect the artwork to be ready prior to Christmas. There is a maybe for some products from December bookings but we make no guarantees.
All early November booking times allow us enough time to get your orders to the printing labs and products to you by Christmas.
Master Photographer Larry Hersberger and Hall of Fame Cliff Snider
Over a decade ago, master photographer Larry Hersberger decided to create a magical Santa experience second to none. Having been an experienced designer, artist and photographer for decades, he put to work his talent on everything from the studio Santa set, to inventing the correct lighting and artwork.
This invention of magical, fine art Santa sessions and artwork was a monumental task that would require an open-minded professional Santa who would understand Larry's need for details and storytelling. This would not be your normal Santa pics. Enter Santa Cliff Snider.
International Hall of Fame Santa Cliff Snider
Once Mr. Hersberger had his set designed and in place, he was in need of a true professional Santa for each magical family photo event. This was not just an event to take quick pics and photos of kids with Santa. It was the beginning of the creation of a family heirloom and children's storybook.
Santa Cliff would need to take a step back and let Larry turn him into the Santa we all see when we close our eyes. This meant many wardrobe changes until it was perfected. Today, Santas worldwide try to emulate this nostalgic look.
Santa Cliff was the perfect look and once refined, he became a strategic part of Mr. Hersberger's artwork. All these years later, they still work together when creating throughout the holiday season and more.
Since this time, Santa Cliff has gone on to be inducted into the International Santa Claus Hall of Fame and has now portrayed Santa Claus for over 60 years.
One hour production
Children will receive their Golden Tickets and Bell from Santa's Sleight in the days prior to their Santa Experience. Be sure to take pictures and videos of them opening their package.
We give an hour and a half for our productions as this event is not about Santa pics or quick photos of kids with Santa. Our experience is much more like a play (although the children will never know they are in a play)
